Transmutation
Was ist das!?
Ein neues Projekt steht vor der Türe. Vor der Türe Zürichs, genauer gesprochen beim Dynamo, beim Letten, beim Platzspitz, unter der Autostrasse, neben den Werkstätten, beim Restaurant, beim Landesmuseum, an der Limmat, an einem Veloweg, im Beton versteckt, nur mit einem Fensterli und einer Türe und einem Abfluss und einer Lüftung und durch Spieglerey mit der Aussenwelt verbunden: Transmutation.
Das Projekt Transmutation oder kurz: Transi bringt die Spieglerey einen Schritt weiter in ihrem Bestreben zu experimentieren, zu verbinden, zu diversifizieren, herauszufordern. Nachdem bisher immer Pop-Up mässig agiert wurde, soll mit dem Projekt Transmutation tiefer, intensiver in die kulturelle Szene Zürichs eingetaucht und dabei das Potential der mitwirkenden KünstlerInnen herausgefordert werden. Spezielles Augenmerk soll während diesem halben Jahr auf den Werkprozess gelegt werden. Anstatt nur die Endprodukte auszustellen, wollen wir uns auf die künstlerische Entwicklung, welche während einem Werkprozess stattfinden konzentrieren. Die Transi will auch Atelier sein, will auch Treffpunkt sein, will auch Wohnzimmer sein, will auch Ausstellungsraum sein, will auch Loch sein, will auch Offspace sein.
What is this?!
It's the beginning of a new project. The beginning of a new art space in Zurich, more precisely at Dynamo, at Letten, at Platzspitz, below the car way, next to the work shops, next to the chuchi am Wasser, near the Landesmuseum, at the riverside, on a bicycle way, hidden in concrete, connected to the outside world only through a little window and a door and runoff and a ventilation system and through Spieglerey: Transmutation
The project Transmutation or short "Transi" helps Spieglerey on going one step further in their effort to experiment, to connect, to diversify, to challenge. After having acted only pop-up wise, the project Transmutation aims to dive deep into the cultural scene of Zurich and to challenge the potential of all the cooperating artists. Through this half year project special attention goes to the creative processes leading to an actual art piece. Instead of just showing the final product of the processes, we want to focus on the personal artistic development, which takes place within every creative process.
Transi wants to become atelier, wants to become meeting point, wants to become living room, wants to become exhibition space, wants to become a whole, wants to become Offspace.
